Why Are We Doing This Contest?:

This contest aims to reveal crucial insights about our incorrect perception of identity. Many people believe "Israeli" and "Palestinian" identities are intrinsic to people, not realizing that our minds create the illusion of separate identities by projecting these labels onto otherwise indistinguishable beings.

Here’s the simple, unbiased reality we often overlook: living beings exist with valid bodies and minds, but neither the body or mind exists as singular, independent entities. A closer look reveals that all physical bodies are composed of an infinite number of ever-smaller parts, themselves made of an infinite number of ever-smaller particles, none of which exist as self-contained units. Each particle lacks the power to generate itself, instead, each part is a product of everything else (entirety of existence) and not its own nature. The entirety with its countless elements, processes and interactions merges and brings into existence each subatomic particle and atom forming a web of interdependence cuminationg with the collection of trillions of atoms our mind called “body”.

Similarly, the mind—whether viewed as a brain-based process or a consciousness—is not singular entity. It unfolds as a stream of consciousness, made up of an infinite ever-shorter, infinitely divisible moments. Each of these moments arises from the previous one, with none existing independently or as a singular stand-alone moment. Thus, neither our physical nor mental aspects are singular or independent; both are composites of innumerable, interconnected parts without an inherent nature capable of self-generation.

Therefore, no being is inherently “Israeli” or “Palestinian” but is a composite of nonsingular atoms (carbon, nitrogen, calcium, oxygen, phosphorus, hydrogen, adenine, guanine, cytosine, thymine) and consciousness—components we label as “Israeli” or “Palestinian.” While labels can be convenient, believing they are factual or definitive characteristics is a profound misunderstanding.

Every person is a product of the same interconnected existence, with no inherent separation or individual essence. Our perception of "me vs. them" is an illusion created by our minds. This belief in separate selves is a misconception that leads us to view others as distinct when, at our core, we are the same—selfless. There is no separate, identifiable self or a soul apart from body and mind; if such a self existed, we would experience ourselves apart from the body and mind because they would have belonged to another person. Yet all we know is this interconnected experience of body and mind. This non-existence of a separate self mirrors the state of deep sleep, where individuality dissolves.

Clarifying Reality - Towards Understanding and Peace.

"Israeli" and "Palestinian" are not physical qualities; they are mental labels existing only in our minds. Living beings are not Israeli or Palestinian by nature because “Israeli” and “Palestinian” are concepts only, they are not physical realities. They are projected onto collections of identical components and are merely conveniences of language.

If an “Israeli” or “Palestinian” truly existed as separate entities, they would need to exist as singular beings—not as composites of countless parts. They would have to possess unique natures capable of generating them into existencealone. Such singular entities do not exist.

All people experience a sense of self, yet our belief in individual, separate essences is a misconception. The facts show that everyone is a product of the same universal elements—both physical and nonphysical—and thus, identical in essenceand without a trace of individuality. No person exists by their own inherent nature; instead, each is the result of an interconnected totality. Therefore, our perception of duality (“me vs. them”) is an illusion that contradicts the facts of existence.

Believing in inherent differences between “Israeli” and “Palestinian” without recognizing the role of labels is a product of ignorance, which fuels today’s conflicts and misunderstandings.

Embracing the Facts for World Peace.

Recognizing this universal connection and acknowledging these facts about human existence can alleviate dissatisfaction, suffering, and countless conflicts. World peace and happiness are achievable if we accept facts as they are and let go of assumptions about one another. Isn’t time we move beyond limiting labels and begin to see each other without preconceived distinctions they way we have always been?
