The Unknown and Hidden Risk to all Gun Owners, and What you Should Know to Protect Yourself.
Most gun owners are unaware of a single fact of life that poses a direct threat to their well-being. This fact is currently hidden from their senses, a blind spot that most of us don’t even consider. We rarely stop to question whether our senses might be incorrectly showing us how we and others exist. The idea that our senses could be distorting everything we know about ourselves and others seems far-fetched, but irrefutable and unbiased facts of life prove that such ignorance can be deadly. Fortunately, there is good news: we can take action to protect ourselves by signing a petition to require all gun manufacturers and stores to inform us about this crucial fact.
Many believe that gun ownership is a necessary right, allowing us to defend ourselves against threats. But what if neither we nor the people we fear existed the way our senses suggest? What if the way we perceive ourselves and others was, in fact, the opposite of how everyone truly exists? What if the facts of existence clearly showed us that those we label as "others" are not truly separate from us, but instead are ourselves—merely appearing distinct due to the distortions of our senses?
At first, this may seem outlandish, but consider the facts: the senses have been deceiving us for most of our lives and 99% of people are simply unaware of it. This deception creates an illusion that has profound consequences. If we continue to trust this faulty perception, we may remain ignorant of the truth—a truth that could reshape how we view self-defense, guns, and protection.
Test Your Senses: Do We Truly Exist as Separate Selves?
It might seem illogical to believe that we are more closely connected to others than even siblings. Yet, if you were to test your senses, you would see that your current experience of yourself and others as distinct entities is based on ignorance that you’re unaware of.
Here’s how you can test your senses: for anyone to claim to have their own self, three criteria must be met:
1. A Singular Being: Each person must exist as a singular, indivisible entity.
2. Self-Generation: Each person must be capable of generating and sustaining themselves.
3. Existence Without Labels: Each person must exist independently, without needing mental labels like "me" or "them."
However, no person—regardless of gender, race, or nationality—meets these criteria, because:
1. We Are Not Singular Entities: Our bodies and minds are made up of an infinite number of ever-smaller parts and ever-changing moments of consciousness. We are never fixed, singular beings. Concepts like "one," "two," or "singular" are merely mental labels our minds impose on reality. In truth, nothing in the universe exists as a singular entity. Yet, most humans experience themselves and others as distinct individuals, an experience entirely opposite to the facts of existence.
2. We Cannot Generate Ourselves: We lack any internal nature that can create or sustain our own existence. Instead, we are products of the same universal nature—composed of countless physical and non-physical elements beyond our control. This means that, at our essence, we are not different from everything else in the universe. Everyone shares the same universal essence, meaning we are all identical in this fundamental way.
3. Labels Don’t Define Reality: What exists is a valid body and mind, but these are not inherently "persons." Our mind creates labels like "person," "me," and "them," but these labels exist only in the mind. They are not grounded in the reality of the body and mind themselves. This means that the distinctions we make between "self" and "other" are purely conceptual—fabricated of our minds.
The Illusion of Separation is the Deadliest and You Should Know About it.
What truly exists is a body and mind that are not singular and do not possess any individual nature capable of generating or sustaining themselves. Instead, everyone is identical to the universal nature that produces them. The differences we perceive between ourselves and others are entirely rooted in conceptual labels. These labels do not arise from the side of the physical bodies we perceive; they originate solely in our minds, and only there they have meaning and not in reality.l
In other words, our senses have deceived us into believing in a duality—a division between "me" and "others"—that does not exist in reality. This illusion is so deeply ingrained in our experience that we rarely question it. Yet, this perception, experience, and belief are completely contradictory to the facts of life.
What Does This Mean for Gun Owners?
Given the facts of how humans truly exist, it becomes clear that we don’t exist the way we perceive ourselves to. The idea of a separate self—different from others—is an illusion. Everyone is interconnected and shares the same universal essence, but our senses tell us otherwise.
Understanding this makes the act of using a gun, or even owning one for self-defense, illogical. Why? Because there are no "others"—only versions of ourselves appearing different due to the distortions of our senses. Any action taken against another is, in reality, an action taken against ourselves.
Shouldn’t Gun Owners Be Aware of This?
These facts of life cannot be disproven by science or logic, and our ignorance of them puts us at risk. Shouldn’t all gun manufacturers and stores be required to inform their customers of this truth? As a gun owner, or someone considering gun ownership, you deserve to know these facts before making decisions about self-defense.
Our senses have been distorting the truth for so long, but now we can correct that misunderstanding. By seeing the facts clearly, we can protect ourselves in ways far more profound than we ever imagined.
